Jailbreak for iPad 2 is finally here!
About a week ago JailbreakMe 3.0 for iOS 4.3.3 came out and I couldn’t be happier! As you probably already know it’s web based tool that uses PDF exploit to jailbreak (almost) any iOS 4.3.3 device, including iPad2.
Untethered? Check!
Easy? You bet! Just navigate to jailbreakme.com and click Install.
I jailbroke my 3G iPad2 same morning as news came out while riding on the train! No issues, all the usual Cydia apps installed and running, including my favorite iBluever (so now I can ditch that extra $20 3G plan, and tether to my blackberry).
Apple already responded that they will be releasing a fix for the PDF exploit, which will render this JB method obsolete, so don’t upgrade if you have 4.3.3. Fortunately you don’t have to live with security whole, as same people who brought you jailbreakme 3.0 also provided a patch for PDF exploit available from Cydia. It’s kind of funny that you have to JB iPad it order to patch a security flaw 🙂
